Duties

• Responsible for the maintenance and repairs of the electrical system on board the ship
• Responsible for elevators, electrical propulsions systems, engine room electrical systems, high voltage power generation and distribution systems, computer systems related to power generation, emergency battery systems, engine room automation systems and non-navigational systems on the ship’s bridge
• Repair and maintain electrical equipment as directed
• Perform routine tests as directed
• Ensure that electrical power is available throughout the ship
• Report to Chief Electrician

Qualifications/Experience

• Minimum of two years' experience as an electrician
• Fluency in English
